Growing from the first Earth Day in 1970, when 20 million individuals mobilized to call for greater protections for our planet, EDO is the world’s largest recruiter to the environmental movement, working with 150,000 partners in 192 countries to drive positive action for our planet.
Since that first Earth Day, EDO has created civically oriented innovative programs with partners inside and outside of the environmental movement to tackle new challenges towards the ultimate goal of ending the climate crisis, restoring our planet, and building a zero-carbon future. Our environmental campaigns mobilize individuals around the world on issues from voter registration to environmental education to regenerative agriculture.
