Over a year into the conflict in Sudan, the pace of response is falling woefully short of the needs. More than 25 million people need assistance, 10 million of them displaced from their homes, and famine is now prevalent in parts of North Darfur.
To address the Sudan famine crisis effectively, it is crucial to focus on both immediate relief and long-term recovery. While urgent humanitarian aid—such as food, medical supplies and clean water—is necessary to address immediate needs, sustainable solutions are key for long-term stability.
Our Sudan Humanitarian Crisis Fund supports vulnerable, marginalized and at-risk groups to help prevent and address famine and build longer-term solutions to help communities recover.
